Coalition Letter: Lead Renovation and Repair Rule Harms Job Growth

In response to a request from House Oversight & Government Reform Committee to flag federal regulations that may harm job growth, NMHC/NAA and a coalition have submitted a letter identifying EPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule.

NMHC/NAA’s coalition made it clear that while we support reducing lead-based paint, we are concerned that changes EPA has made and is considering making to the RRP rule will create costly disincentives to ongoing repair and rehabilitation activities and could hinder job creation without demonstrably improving public health.
