NMHC/NAA Letter on Proposed FY 2012 FMR Changes
NMHC and a coalition weighed in on HUD’s proposed FY 2012 Fair Market Rents. The proposed FMRs would result in significant decreases in many metro areas as a result of a new methodology being used by HUD. Our comments call on HUD to implement a 5% cap on FMR rent decreases to mitigate the impact on the nation’s affordable housing providers.
