Property Operations Committee and Subcomittees

Property Operations Committee  
The Property Operations Committee and its five targeted subcommittees identify opportunities for NMHC to provide best practices, benchmarking and other informational resources on a broad range of property operations issues.  They also suggest programming for NMHC’s meetings.  As needed, the committee will evaluate policy options and strategies relative to critical federal legislative and regulatory issues. 

Membership on the committee and its subcommittees is limited to individuals from firms whose primary business is owning, developing and managing apartments.  Other industry firms, such as suppliers, brokers and lenders, are welcome to attend open committee/subcommittee meetings.

Labor and Employment Subcommittee
This subcommittee addresses issues related to labor, employment and human resources issues.  This includes: employee recruitment, screening, compensation and retention; labor and employee relations; workplace safety and security; and organizational strategy and associate/executive development.  It works to develop best practices and other informational resources, including providing advice on NMHC’s annual compensation survey.  It also recommends programming for NMHC meetings.  As needed, the committee will evaluate policy options and strategies relative to critical federal legislative and regulatory issues.
