NMHC E-MAIL WHITE LIST INSTRUCTIONS:

To make sure your important NMHC communications arrive in your inbox (and not bulk or junk mail folders), please "White List" our sending information.   White listing must take place at two levels: at the recipient's desktop level and at their corporate e-mail server level.  Instructions for both appear below.

SERVER LEVEL (Corporate E-Mail Administrator)

To ensure continued delivery of NMHC's newsletters, legislative alerts, white papers and other important communications, please add NMHC as a safe sender to your corporate e-mail system.  Below is the information your e-mail administrator will need to do so.  Importantly, in addition to the individual emails sent by our staff, NMHC uses an external provider to send most of our member emails and a separate provider for our listserves.  

Please be sure to have your e-mail administrator whitelist all of these domains and both third-party service providers to ensure that NMHC mail is not caught by your corporate e-mail filters.

DESKTOP LEVEL (Recipients)

Once your corporate e-mail adminstrator "white lists" NMHC, you must also add us to your safe senders list on your computer.  Use these instructions below to do so.  (Please note, if your corporate network administrator does not first add nmhc.org to the white list, our emails may not arrive in your inbox even if you have added us to your personal contacts list.)

Outlook 2003 and 2007

If you use Gmail, AOL, Earthlink, Hotmail, MSN or Yahoo to get your email, follow these directions and add each of these addresses to your address book or contacts list. 

Gmail Subscribers

1. Your  white list in Gmail is your Contacts list.  To add NMHC to your list, select Contacts.
2. Click on the "Contacts" icon  in the upper left hand corner and add each of the addresses above.

AOL Subscribers:

1. From your mailbox screen click on the drop down arrow to the right of the 'Mail Options' and then click on Address Book.
2. Click the Add button (Add Contact for version 8.0).
3. Type in or cut and paste the e-mail addresses above into the 'Screen Name' block, and then click Save.

Hotmail Subscribers:

1. Select the Options links in the upper right of the screen.
2. Click on Junk E-Mail Protection.
3. Click on Safe List.
4. Type in or cut and paste the e-mail addresses above into the box and then click Add.

Yahoo Subscribers:

1. From your mailbox screen click on the drop down arrow to the right of the 'Addresses' and then click on Add Contact.
2. Type in or cut and paste the e-mail addresses above into the Email box and then click Save.

MSN Subscribers:

MSN 8
1.       Click on E-mail settings.
2.       Click on the Junk Mail link.
3.       Click on Safe List.
4.       Click on Add an item to this list.
5.       Type in or cut and paste the e-mail addresses above into the Safe List box and then click Add.

MSN 9

1.       Click on Settings: E-mail | Junk e-mail.
2.       Click on the Junk E-mail Guard link.
3.       Click on Safe List.
4.       Type in or cut and paste the e-mail addresses above into the Safe List box and then click Add.

Juno/Netzero Subscribers:

1. From your mailbox screen click on the Address Book tab.
2. Next to the Lists tab Click the 'Add new contact' link.
3. Type in or cut and paste the e-mail addresses above into the Email Address block, and then click the Save button.

Earthlink Webmail Subscribers:

1. From your mailbox screen click on the Address Book.
2. Click the Add button.
3. Type in or cut and paste the e-mail addresses above into the E-mail block, and then click the Save button.
