NMHC Student Housing Conference

This unique, one-day conference is designed to shorten the learning curve for newcomers and provide seasoned student housing professionals with an overview of current market conditions and emerging trends.

The event is open to NMHC members and non-members, and it brings together all of the participants in off-campus and joint venture student housing, including owners, developers, lenders, brokers and university partners.

Topics to be covered include: the state of the industry; recent deals; technology and student housing; capital market conditions; building or rehabilitating student properties; and do's and don'ts from the student's perspective.

On  Monday, September 22, 2008 the conference will begin at 8:15 AM and adjourn at 3:30 PM.

Registration is closed.  A preliminary agenda is available.

Pre-Conference Workshop: How Would Students Rate Your Web Site?
Sunday, September 21 -- 3 pm - 5:30 pm

Are you maximizing the power of your student housing web site? Find out at this unique pre-conference workshop. 

This dynamic session will review what students expect in a web site and how you can make yours more effective. 

The session is limited to 60 registrants and up to 20 web sites will be evaluated using a unique Student Web Site Evaluator tool developed by Bruce Innes, Principal of Innes Works Consulting. (Fee: $300.  Web sites must be submitted by August 28.)

Student Housing Property Tour
Sunday, September 21 -- 3 pm - 6 pm

We will tour an off-campus student housing property at the University Town Center near the University of Maryland, College Park.
