NMHC's 2014 Annual Meeting will be held on January 21 - 23, 2014 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Florida. Registration will open in July.

NBA Legend…2-Time Hall of Famer…Entrepreneur…Philanthropist…and Motivational Speaker are just a few honors of distinction that show the culmination of greatness possessed by Earvin “Magic” Johnson. Today he is Chairman and CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises (MJE), which provides high quality products and services that focus primarily on ethnically diverse and underserved urban communities through strategic alliances, investments, consulting and endorsements.  The conglomerate is comprised of multiple business entities and partnerships that include Canyon Johnson, a $1 billion dollar real estate fund, Yucaipa Johnson, a $500 million dollar private equity fund, ASPIRE, a new African-American television network, SodexoMAGIC, Magic Airport Holdings, Best Buy, T.G.I.F. Friday’s Restaurant, Inner City Broadcasting Corporation, Detroit Venture Partners, and Vibe Holdings, LLC.

Alan Simpson and Erskine Bowles will discuss their work as Co-Chairs of the President’s National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, a bipartisan group of Members of Congress and business leaders charged with developing proposals to return the nation to fiscal solvency. Although the Commission was unable to muster the supermajority necessary to adopt the proposal, it has nonetheless become a focal point in the debate of realigning revenues with expenditures. Members of Congress are today using the blueprint as the basis for new proposals to reform the nation’s tax code and entitlement spending.

Registration
All members must first register for the meeting and receive a meeting registration confirmation code in order to reserve a hotel room.  NMHC members must be in good standing prior to July 19 in order to register and to request a hotel reservation.

Members were allowed to register and make reservation requests beginning on Thursday, July 19, in accordance with their membership category as outlined below.

• NMHC Executive Committee Members, Chairman's Circle and Friends of the Council Sponsors, and Maxed ($5,000) Individual PAC Contributors: 11:00 AM EDT
• NMHC Board of Directors Members: 1:00 PM EDT
• NMHC Advisory Committee Members: 2:30 PM EDT
• NMHC Associate Members: 4:00 PM EDT

Below is the list of complimentary registrations per company membership and sponsorship category for the NMHC Annual Meeting.  Click here to view the Meeting Registration Benefits grid.

• NMHC Executive Committee Members: receive three (3) complimentary registrations and may register up to one (1) additional representative for a fee of $700
• NMHC Board of Directors Members: receive three (3) complimentary registrations and may register up to one (1) additional representative for a fee of $700
• NMHC Advisory Committee Members: receive two (2) complimentary registrations and may register up to one (1) additional representative for a fee of $700
• NMHC Associate Members: may register up to two (2) representatives for a fee of $700 each
• 2013 Chairman's Circle Sponsors ($50,000 or more): receive four (4) additional complimentary registrations
• 2013 Friends of the Council Sponsors ($25,000 to $49,999): receive two (2) additional complimentary registrations
• 2013 Major Sponsors ($10,000 to $24,999): receive two (2) additional complimentary registrations
• 2013 General Sponsors (less than $10,000): receive one (1) additional complimentary registration
• Non-Members: not permitted to attend, not even as guests of member firms

Emerging Leaders Registration Option

NMHC has created a special "Emerging Leaders" registration to allow the first 350 NMHC member firms that apply to send one (1) additional person to a select number of events at the NMHC Annual Meeting.

To qualify for this special $300 registration, attendees must be under 40 years of age and  have at least five years of industry experience.  Each NMHC member firm is limited to ONE (1) Emerging Leader Registration. Mre information to come.

 Please be advised that the 2013 NMHC Apartment Strategies Outlook Conference will be held on Tuesday, January 22, immediately prior to, but independently of, the NMHC Annual Meeting.  Separate registration is required for each meeting.  You must be registered and 21 years of age or older to attend the conference events.
