2016 NMHC Annual Meeting Emerging Leaders Registration

NMHC will once again offer a special Emerging Leader registration option for our 2016 Annual Meeting, January 19-21 in Orlando, FL for $700 ($900 after January 8, 2016).

This special registration allows member firms to send one young leader who might not otherwise be able to attend given the existing meeting registration caps. Emerging Leader registrants will have access to the entire meeting, including a special reception the first night.  (Note: Anyone who is under 40 and registered for the Annual Meeting, whether as a regular registrant or an Emerging Leaders registrant, is eligible to attend the Emerging Leaders reception.)   

To qualify, attendees must be under 40 and have at least five years of industry experience. Space is limited to the first 250 registrants and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

In order to make a hotel reservation request, you will need your Meeting Registration Confirmation Code found on your meeting registration confirmation.

NMHC uses a centralized hotel reservation system to manage hotel reservations for all of our attendees at the NMHC Annual Meeting and the NMHC Apartment Strategies Outlook Conference.  You must register online for the meeting and receive a meeting registration confirmation number before you can reserve a hotel room.  NMHC members must be in good standing in order to register for the meeting and make a hotel reservation request.


Here is how the system works:


  • Register to attend the Annual Meeting.  (Note: This is the special Emerging Leaders' registration option ONLY.  Registrants must meet the qualifying criteria: "Under 40 and have at least five years of industry experience.")

  • Once you register, you will receive a meeting registration confirmation email that will include a web link to Stage Right's hotel reservation site.  At the top of the meeting registration confirmation email you will receive a five-digit meeting registration confirmation number that must be entered on the housing website when making a hotel reservation request.  (Note: One (1) room reservation is allowed per registration confirmation number.  Company room blocks are prohibited.  Hotel changes can be made online.)
  • Follow the housing link provided to request your hotel room.  Reservation requests will be processed within 24 hours and confirmed within 14 business days.  All reservations will require a deposit in the amount equal to the first and last nights' room charges, and all cancellations made after December 18 will result in a forfeiture of this deposit.
Please note: The 2016 Apartment Strategies Outlook Conference will be held on Tuesday, January 19, immediately prior to the 2015 NMHC Annual Meeting. The conference is open to NMHC members and non -members, but separate registration is required.



The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is approximately 18 miles from Orlando International Airport. For those of you arriving by air, you have the following alternatives for ground transportation:


  • A taxi from Orlando International Airport will cost about $55 each way and will take approximately 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxi service can be found outside of Terminals A & B on the Ground Transportation Level.  
  • An alternative to taxi service is MEARS, a shared ride shuttle service that may make multiple stops.  The cost is $22/one way or $36/round trip per adult. For more information or to make a reservation, call 855/463-2776 or visit the MEARS website.
NMHC's Social Lounge will be open during the Annual Meeting to accomodate attendees who need to connect to the Internet. Complimentary Wi-Fi access will also be available.
