In order to make a hotel reservation request, you will need your Meeting Registration Confirmation Code found on your meeting registration confirmation.


NMHC uses a centralized hotel reservation system to manage hotel reservations for all of our attendees at the NMHC Annual Meeting and the NMHC Apartment Strategies Outlook Conference.

  • Individuals must be registered for the NMHC Annual Meeting and/or Apartment Strategies Outlook Conference before they can reserve a hotel room.
  • Each individual will be limited to one hotel reservation.
  • No blocks of rooms can be reserved.

Hotel reservation requests will be processed within 24 hours and confirmed within 14 business days. Note: there will be a longer processing period after the initial rush to book rooms in July. All hotel reservations will require a deposit in the amount equal to two nights (a first and last nights') deposit, and all cancellations made after December 8 will entail a forfeiture of this deposit.

Ground Transportation

The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria are approximately 18 miles from Orlando International Airport. For those of you arriving by air, you have the following alternatives for ground transportation:

 

  • A taxi from Orlando International Airport will cost about $55 each way and will take approximately 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxi service can be found outside of Terminals A & B on the Ground Transportation Level.  
  • An alternative to taxi service is MEARS, a shared ride shuttle service that may make multiple stops.  The cost is $22/one way or $36/round trip per adult. For more information or to make a reservation, call 855/463-2776 or visit the MEARS website.

Conference Registration


NMHC’s Annual Meeting is open to NMHC members. Conference attendance fees or waivers do not include hotel room charges. The registration policy is as follows:

 

  • NMHC Executive Committee Members: receive three (3) complimentary registrations and may register one (1) additional representative for a fee of $700 each until January 5, and $900 each thereafter;
  • NMHC Board of Directors Members: receive three (3) complimentary registration and may register one (1) additional representative for a fee of $700 each until January 5, and $900 each thereafter;
  • NMHC Advisory Committee Members: receive two (2) complimentary registrations and may register one (1) additional representative for a fee of $700 each until January 5, and $900 each thereafter;
  • 40th Anniversary Sponsors ($150,000): receive six (6) additional complimentary registrations and may register three (3) additional representatives for a fee of $500 each;
  • 2018 Chairman's Circle Sponsors ($50,000 or more): receive four (4) additional complimentary registrations and may register one (1) additional representative for a fee of $700 each;
  • 2018 Friends of the Council Sponsors ($25,000 to $49,999): receive two (2) additional complimentary registrations;
  • Meeting Sponsors ($10,000): receive one (1) additional complimentary registration

Member registration is contingent upon dues being current. NMHC reserves the right to close meeting registration should interest exceed availability.

 

Please note: Registrations and changes received after January 12 (including on-site registrations) may not be reflected on the NMHC attendee lists.

 

Meeting Cancellation Policy
Meeting cancellations must be sent in writing to NMHC. Written requests for meeting cancellation refunds received by December 18 are entitled to a full refund, minus a processing fee of $250. No meeting cancellation refunds will be granted after December 18.

NMHC Walk for the Homeless Benefiting Shelters to Shutters


Join us for the NMHC Walk for the Homeless Benefiting Shelters to Shutters during the 2018 NMHC Annual Meeting! All proceeds will again benefit Shelters to Shutters (S2S), NMHC's designated 2017-2018 charity. The walk will be held on Thursday morning, January 18, 2018 (exact time/location to be announced). 

 

Separate registration is not required to participate in the walk. Simply show up on the morning of the walk at the designated time and location, as listed in the agenda. This event is open to all registrants of the Annual Meeting, including those with Networking Passes. Spouses, friends and guests are also welcome to participate in the walk! We kindly request walk/run participants make a minimum $40 donation to S2S. Donations can be made directly to S2S via NMHC's designated online donation page: https://shelterstoshutters.rallybound.org/nmhc-2018/Donate.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the Walk. We are offering four (4) different sponsorship levels:

Additionally, companies that sign up to support S2S with a minimum $5,000 financial contribution will be recognized by both the organization and NMHC as an official 40 for 40 Partner throughout 2018. More information on the 40 for 40 campaign is listed below.

    40 for 40 Campaign


    S2S and NMHC are also partnering for a ‘40 for 40’ campaign in celebration of NMHC’s 40th anniversary. The campaign’s goal is to sign up 40 new multifamily partners to assist S2S with its mission. 40 for 40 will launch at the NMHC Annual Meeting and will run for 40 consecutive business days following. A minimum $5,000 contribution is needed to be recognized as a 40 for 40 partner. Companies that sign up to support S2S with a minimum $5,000 financial contribution will be recognized by both the organization and NMHC as an official 40 for 40 Partner throughout 2018.

    NMHC Annual Meeting Networking Passes 
    go on sale December 1

     

    For the 2018 NMHC Annual Meeting, member firms who have used all of their registration slots based on membership level and/or sponsorship support can now purchase Networking Passes for $375.These passes allow additional colleagues from member firms and corporate event coordinators to be on the hotel premises during the meeting and for the onsite corporate events.

    All individuals must display an official NMHC meeting badge to be allowed on the hotel grounds. No corporate or custom badges will be permitted on the premises, including at any corporate events held at the meeting site. 

    Security will prohibit any individual without an official NMHC meeting badge from accessing the NMHC meeting and event areas. 

     

    Official NMHC meeting badges are only available to:

     

    • Full registrants for the Apartment Strategies Outlook Conference, Annual Meeting, and Annual Meeting Emerging Leaders
    • Annual Meeting Networking Pass registrants

    Please note, registrants of the 2018 NMHC Apartment Strategies Outlook Conference must have a full registration to the Annual Meeting (includes Emerging Leader registrants) or an Annual Meeting Networking Pass to remain on the grounds after 3:00 pm Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

     

    Nonmembers are not allowed to purchase Annual Meeting networking passes or full registrations and will not be allowed on hotel grounds during the Annual Meeting.

     

    Networking Passes will be
    permitted in the following areas:

    • NMHC networking on the lawn
    • Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek/Waldorf Astoria hotel grounds
    • Firm-hosted corporate events
      held at the meeting site
    Networking Passes are 
    not allowed to attend:

    • NMHC meeting sessions
    • NMHC committee meetings
    • NMHC breakfasts, receptions and dinner

    • The individual must be an employee of an NMHC member firm in good standing.
    • Member firms must use all available full Annual Meeting registration slots to be eligible for Networking Passes. Individuals interested in a Networking Pass should check with their firm’s lead or alternate contact to verify that all full registration slots have been used before registering.
    • Modification of Networking Passes is prohibited. Anyone found obscuring or altering a badge will be asked to surrender their badge and leave the premises.
    • Networking Pass registrations from a member firm which has not fulfilled all full registration slots will automatically be cancelled. Refunds for cancellations will not be granted for Networking Pass registrations.
    • Complimentary Networking Pass registrations are not available based on membership level or sponsorship support.
    • Networking Pass registrants may make arrangements for their hotel accomodations using the NMHC centralized hotel reservation system. Instructions on how to make hotel arrangements are included in the meeting registration confirmation email. Rooms are limited.
