Every nomination holds equal weight, regardless of the number of nominations submitted for the same person or company. Our NMHC staff and programming committee thoroughly review each nomination we receive, and value each submission as it only takes one to be considered for selection.

Panel opportunities at the NMHC OPTECH conference are available to everyone, but space is limited. The chance to speak at OPTECH is extremely popular and we typically receive 2-3x more interest than what we can accommodate in our program.

No. There are many opportunities to showcase your organization’s services and skills. Sponsoring and/or exhibiting at OPTECH has many benefits, but a guaranteed speaking slot is not one of them. On occasion, we do provide speaking opportunities for companies in our Expo and start-up kiosks (i.e. – OPTECH Opening Pitches). A separate process will be released for those openings.
No. If you have already indicated your interest in speaking at OPTECH, we have your name on our prospect roster. It only takes one submission to be considered.

NMHC accepts speaker nominations up until the opening of the OPTECH event (November 1, 2023). While it is best to get your submission in as early as possible, so we can research carefully and make the best decision for the program, we know that individual’s schedule and availability changes. That is why we will keep this link open until the event.
NMHC will contact only those individuals selected for the program. Please no calls or emails requesting a status update on the selection process.
As a speaker you will receive complimentary attendance at OPTECH, which will not count against your company’s other membership registration benefits. There are no other fees or expenses provided.

Speakers will be listed on the conference website, and in the conference mobile app for use during the event. Speakers may also be referenced in conference marketing materials, like emails, print agendas, and social media posts.
NMHC will distribute speaker promotional materials as available to all conference speakers to help boost awareness of your session.
