Senate Candidate Rep. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia
NMHC PAC will hold a luncheon on Tuesday, July 22, in Chicago and urges members to get involved in the event that is focused on the upcoming mid-term elections. Specifically, the luncheon is being held in support of seven-term Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito, R-W. Va., who represents the people of West Virginia’s 2nd District.
As the chair of the House Financial Services Committee, and a member of the Financial Institutions and Housing Subcommittee, Capito has an in-depth understanding of the value of rental housing as an option and a key driver of the economy.
Capito is running for the open Senate seat against Democrat Natalie Tennant, the Secretary of State for West Virginia. Recent polls show Capito with a significant edge in the election, causing Tennant to recruit Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren from Massachusetts to help her campaign.
Barring any surprises, Congresswoman Capito is expected to win the Senate seat in November. If she wins in November, she’ll be West Virginia’s first-ever female senator and first Republican since 1959.
Greg Mutz and David Neithercut will be hosting the luncheon. Please contact NMHC PAC’s Lisa Costello at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about the luncheon
and how to get involved.
