Record attendance, informative and interesting panels and productive committee meetings - the NMHC Spring Board meeting last week was another tremendous success.
Bob DeWitt, NMHC PAC Chairman announced a record breaking first quarter - raising $381,452. This is an increase of more than $125,000 from the same time-frame last year.
DeWitt listed those firms that are off to a fast start, having contributed $10,000 or more. They include: ARA, Camden Property Trust, Colliers International, Entrepreneurial Properties Corporation, Equity Residential, Heritage Title Company of Austin, Holland Partner Group, Legacy Partners Residential, National Multifamily Housing Council, Post Properties, The Bozzuto Group, Trammell Crow Residential, UDR and Waterton Associates.
He also listed the following top five firms for employee contributions to date: Holland Partner Group ($62,200), Equity Residential ($38,200), Camden Property Trust ($37,375), ARA ($36,300), and The Bozzuto Group ($29,050).
During the NMHC PAC committee meeting, members discussed the disbursement budget, company campaigns, maxed out donor program and the importance of the personal dollar program. The first personal dollar fundraising event was held for House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy in Seattle last month. Additional information on events will be coming along with a list of NMHC’s multifamily congressional champions.
PAC updates were provided to both the Emerging Leaders and Supplier Partners Alliance. Each group discussed ways to increase their support of NMHC PAC.
