Momentum is building for the upcoming NMHC Personal
Dollar Campaign events as we start heading into a busy elections cycle. And,
ultimately, we need your help with the campaign to make a difference for the
entire multifamily industry. The Personal Dollar Campaign
allows NMHC to leverage the solid amount of political support attributed to our
industry. In addition, it helps maintain the visibility and reach of NMHC
During the NMHC Fall Board Meeting last week, NMHC PAC Committee Chairman Bob DeWitt led a committee meeting that focused on fundraising efforts, as well as the status of support across the membership. He also encouraged the committee to help spread the word about the Personal Dollar Campaign events and drive participation.
Upcoming Personal Dollar Campaign Events
The next personal dollar event will be held in Chicago on Monday, October 5 for Senators John Thune (R-SD) and Jerry Moran (R-KS). The host committee includes: Bob DeWitt, Mike Miller, Tom Moran, Greg Mutz, David Neithercut, David Schwartz, Ken Valach and Jerry Wilkinson.
An evening reception will be co-hosted by Jerry Wilkinson and NMHC PAC for Senator Johnny Isakson (R-GA) in Atlanta on Sunday, October 25. This event will be a great chance to show our support for an important champion of the industry.
Lauren Brockman and Tim Meyers will co-host a personal dollar event in Denver on Friday, December 11 for Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO). Senator Bennet is a pragmatic independent thinker with a business background. The event will be held at a newly developed apartment community in Denver - 2785 Speer Apartments.
