With Congress working feverishly to wrap up their work and leave for the August recess, NMHC’s senior legislative staff are busily reminding Members of Congress of the importance of the multifamily industry and how key policy and regulatory issues affect our industry.
On the PAC front, NMHC staff have participated in 350 fundraisers so far this year, delivering our support to lawmakers who have jurisdiction over issues such as tax reform, like-kind exchanges, housing finance reform, patent reform, energy policy and military housing.
NMHC PAC has disbursed $982,500 to date to these key lawmakers who consistently stand up for the apartment industry. For a list of disbursements, please click here.
PAC Chairman Bob DeWitt, and the entire Committee, set this year’s fundraising goal at $1.25 million.
