On November 1, one week before Election Day, Chairwoman Sue Ansel held a timely NMHC PAC Conference Call featuring John Feehery. John is president of QGA Public Affairs and a highly-respected political analyst and commentator.
On the call, John laid out his thoughts on the upcoming elections, how we ended up with Donald Trump as the Republican nominee and what he predicts the 115th Congress will look like. A full transcript of his remarks can be found here, but John’s insights around the makeup of the Senate and House were especially interesting and provided NMHC PAC membership with a unique understanding.
Following John’s remarks, Sue Ansel gave an update on the PAC’s strong efforts to date:
- Year to date: raised $1,471,400
- Last year at this time: raised $1,125,800 (increase of nearly $350,000)
- Max out donors to date: 102 - new record
- For this 2 year election cycle NMHC PAC has disbursed over $2.8 million and is participating in over 250 campaigns.
