Amy M. Glassman is the VP of Housing Policy and has primary responsibility for managing and guiding NMHC’s multifamily housing policy as it relates to federal legislative and regulatory issues impacting affordable housing, property operations, labor and immigration. Amy has nearly 30 years of experience with housing and housing policy. Immediately prior to joining NMHC, she was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the District of Columbia Housing Authority, one of the ten largest housing authorities in the United States. Prior to that, she was a partner at Ballard Spahr, LLP, where she advised public, non-profit and private housing developers and operators on all aspects of housing development and operations, with a focus on affordable housing transactional, fair housing, and regulatory issues. Amy holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from Brown University and a Juris Doctorate from Yale University. She is a member of the District of Columbia and New York Bars.
