
Cindy Vosper Chetti is Chief Advocacy Advisor, advising the NMHC President and Officers, as well as NMHC, RETTC and HSC staff, on advocacy issues. She also represents NMHC and the broader apartment housing industry on Capitol Hill and beyond. Prior to joining NMHC, Chetti had an extensive 20-year career on Capitol Hill serving in a number of leadership positions including leading the housing portfolio for the House Financial Services Committee and managing the Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity team. Prior to that, she served for six years as a Senior Professional with the House Financial Services and Consumer Credit Subcommittee working on issues specific to the financial services industry including privacy, consumer credit, money laundering and housing. Chetti began her career on Capitol Hill working for former Representative Marge Roukema (R-NJ), rising from a legislative assistant to Chief of Staff. Chetti holds a B.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.
