What is NMHC PAC?
NMHC PAC is a voluntary, non-partisan political action committee formed in 1980 to support and elect pro-industry congressional candidates for federal office. Since its inception, NMHC PAC has worked to ensure the multifamily industry speaks as a unified voice in Washington for you and the industry.
NMHC is committed to expanding the reach of NMHC PAC and maintaining a leadership role in the real estate trade association PAC community. A key part of our strategy is building a strong national base of participating companies whose employees directly support NMHC PAC and its mission.
Prior Authorization Process
NMHC PAC gives individuals in our industry the opportunity to join together and voluntarily pool our resources to assist candidates and elected officials who support the multifamily rental industry. Decisions by elected officials impact our industry every day in multiple ways. Participating in the PAC gives NMHC the voice and political clout it needs in Washington to advance our agenda.
Federal law requires members to sign this prior authorization form in order for you and the executive or administrative personnel of your firm to receive certain information or be solicited by NMHC PAC. The firm may not approve a solicitation by any other trade association for these years. NMHC PAC will not communicate with employees or shareholders of your firm without express written consent.
Personal Dollar Campaigns
To strengthen the multifamily industry’s voice and visibility, the NMHC PAC committee has created a Personal Dollar Campaign.
Each year, we identify several key candidates who are champions for the apartment industry and encourage NMHC members to contribute directly to their campaigns, in addition to contributions they make to the NMHC PAC.
Your participation in a Personal Dollar Campaign allows us to increase the multifamily industry’s political support of elected officials.
