Paula M. Cino is SVP and Head of Legal Advocacy. She is responsible for managing legal matters and projects in advancement of NMHC’s overall advocacy mission including litigation, development of legal resources and other legal policy efforts. Paula also represents the interests of the apartment industry on a broad range of issues before federal policymakers. Additionally, Paula leads NMHC’s efforts in the development of national model building codes and standards and serves as a member of numerous code and standard committees. Before joining NMHC, Paula served as a national security investigator and earned a Juris Doctorate from Tulane School of Law. Paula also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Law and Society from American University and is a member of the Maryland State Bar.
