The Clean Water Act (CWA) protects the quality of the nation’s waters, including its lakes, rivers, wetlands and more, by regulating how many pollutants properties can discharge. Latest Update: April 30, 2023
On May 25, the Supreme Court’s he Supreme Court’s decision in Sackett v. EPA narrowed federal jurisdiction under the Clean Water Act (CWA) and found that it extends only to wetlands that are “indistinguishable” from larger bodies of water by having a “continuous surface connection.”
