2026 NMHC Student Housing Conference

Join us for the Annual NMHC Student Housing Conference, taking place October 19 - 21, 2026 at the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.

This is the premier event for Student Housing professionals bringing together leaders from all facets of the sector including owners, operators, investors, lenders, and university partners.

The conference features the industry's best and brightest minds, all at one event, delivering the knowledge, tools, programs and connections necessary for leaders to shape their future success and the future of our industry.

Open to NMHC members and non-members, this is a must-attend event whether you are an industry veteran, new to the sector, or seek exposure and access to industry decision makers.

NMHC’s Student Housing Council is the leading advocate for the privately-owned student housing sector encompassing off-campus student housing and on-campus public-private partnerships.

Conference Registration

You must first register for the meeting in order to make a hotel reservation request. NMHC’s Student Housing Conference is open to NMHC members and non-members. Conference attendance fees or waivers do not include hotel room charges.

Member, sponsor, and kiosk registration is contingent upon dues being current. NMHC reserves the right to close meeting registration should interest exceed availability.

Meeting Registration Cancellation Policy

Meeting registration cancellations must be emailed to membership@nmhc.org. Written requests for meeting cancellation refunds received prior to ten (10) business days before the start of the meeting are entitled to a full refund, minus a processing fee of $250. No meeting cancellation refunds will be granted within ten (10) business days prior to meeting commencement.

Hotel Reservations

In order to make a hotel reservation request in the group block, you must be a registered attendee.

The NMHC discounted nightly room rate is $429 single/double occupancy per night (plus $30/night resort fee and applicable taxes). The deadline to request a room online within the NMHC block is 5 pm EST on Friday, September 11. Please note that there is a possibility the block will sell out prior to the deadline, rooms are first come, first serve.

Resort Fee: $30 plus taxes, per night. Includes property-wide high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the resort (public spaces, in-room and convention space), local and toll-free calls, airline boarding pass printing, notary service, and access to the 24-hour fitness center.

Pre-authorization hold: In addition to the nightly rate, taxes, and resort fee, the hotel requires a pre-authorization hold of $200 for each night of your stay in a regular room. This authorization hold will be charged to the card presented at check-in.

Important Information on the Hotel Request Process

Upon registering for the meeting, you will receive a confirmation email which contains the registration confirmation code required to submit your reservation request. Individuals must be registered for the meeting before making a hotel reservation request. Failure to do so will result in your request being cancelled.
Hotel reservation requests will be acknowledged via email within 24 hours and confirmed within 10 business days by a separate email.
All hotel reservations will require an advance deposit equal to two nights’ rate plus taxes. Please CLICK HERE if you have been charged the deposit and wish to request a receipt. Please allow 24–72 hours to receive the receipt. If you do not receive it after that time, email info@sreconference.com.
Canceling your meeting registration will require you to cancel your hotel reservation. All cancellation requests must be emailed to info@sreconference.com.
NMHC uses a centralized hotel reservation company (Staged Right Events) to manage reservations for attendees at the NMHC Student Housing Conference. Contact them at 954/404-8252 Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET or info@sreconference.com.

Full Reservation Cancellations

Reservations can be fully cancelled without penalty on or before September 11, 2026. Any cancellations after September 11, 2026 will forfeit the advance deposit equal to two nights’ room rate and taxes. Once your request is cancelled, you will receive a confirmation email. All cancellation requests must be emailed to info@sreconference.com or submitted via your confirmation email.

Reservation Changes

Name changes: Must be requested via email to info@sreconference.com at least 7 days prior to arrival. You will receive an updated confirmation once processed.
Date changes: Must be emailed to info@sreconference.com at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalties. Changes are subject to availability. Additional room and tax penalties may apply and will be charged to the card on file. It is recommended to request additional nights prior to September 6 to guarantee group rate.

No Shows: Guests who do not check in on their confirmed arrival date will be classified as a no show and their reservation will not be reinstated. No-shows may be charged additional penalties if no prior notice is given at least 72 hours prior to arrival.

Beware of Sleeping Room Wholesalers

IMPORTANT NOTICE: In the past, sleeping room wholesalers have contacted attendees offering hotel deals for the NMHC Student Housing Conference. While solicitation is not illegal, legitimacy can be difficult to verify. Attendees who use non-NMHC rates may be at risk. NMHC has no affiliation with any room brokers.

The Grand Hyatt Scottsdale is approximately 18 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Transportation options include:
